Christmas of 2007 we went on a cruise down south - yes, we are on the "Freedom 95" plan. This was the first time myself or my wife had been down south or on a cruise. It was an amazing experience.

Our itinerary was: Leaving from Fort Lauderdale we stopped first in Key West, continued westward to Playa del Carmen, south a bit to Belize (not in Mexico) and finally back north, off the coast of Playa del Carmen to Cozumel before heading back to Fort Lauderdale.

Christmas day 2007 will be hard to beat - Tulum - a Mayan ruin on the coast in the morning and Xel ha (shell-hah) an amazing lagoon up the coast a bit for snorkling. Both are in Mexico, Yucatan Peninsula. Cozumul is an island off of Playa del Carmem - both are in Mexico.
