Parker House Rolls
 
 
½ cup    scalded milk  
½ cup    boiling water  
1 tsp    salt  
1 tablespoon    butter  
2 tsp    sugar  
1 package    yeast  
3 cups    flour  
2 tablespoons    melted butter  
 
1 Mix well the milk, water, salt, butter, and sugar.
2 Add yeast to mixture.
3 Add flour until stiff enough to knead.
4 Rise for 20 minutes, shape into spheres, place in greased pans, and rise again for 20 minutes.
5 Press in half, brush on melted butter, fold, and seal. Rise again for 20 minutes.
6 Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes.
 
Servings: 12
Yield: a dozen rolls
