Mary's Ribs
 
 
2 lbs    beef short ribs  
1 cup    water  
1 cup    ketchup  
1 small    onion, finely chopped  
2 TBSP    BBQ sauce  
1 TBSP    dry mustard  
3 TBSP    Worcester sauce  
3 TBSP    white vinegar  
2 TBSP    brown sugar  
 
1 Preheat oven to 350°.
2 Mix all -- except ribs in casserole/roasting pan.
3 Brown ribs in frying pan. Simmer, covered,  for 20-30 minutes. Add to roasting pan,
spoon sauce over ribs.
4 Bake, covered. Check after 1 hourand stir/baste ribs with sauce. After 1½ hour ribs
should be dark and glazed with sauce. If required uncover for the last 20 minutes +/-
of baking.
5 If they start to dry out add water.
6 Serve with white rice and fresh carrots.
