Banana Bread
 
 
Rated "Very Good" by Jean. This appeared to be the most-used recipe in the box.
[Note: moderate oven is 350 F - ECB]
 
1 cup    sugar  
¼ cup    butter  
2   eggs  
1 tsp    baking soda  
¼ tsp    salt  
1½ cups    white flour  
3   bananas, large  
 
1 Cream butter and sugar, and add eggs.
2 Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture.
3 Mash bananas and add last to mixture.
4 Bake in a moderate oven for 1 hour.
5 Check with toothpick.
 
Servings: 16
Yield: 1 loaf
